Who is responsible

gauteng.ai is operated by Stefan Smit in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to stefan@gauteng.ai.

Contact enquiries

When you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are sent through Google Workspace so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. This information is used only to respond, discuss a possible engagement, maintain necessary business records, and meet legal obligations.

Form content and contact details are never sent to website analytics. Enquiry records are kept only for as long as they remain reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Website analytics

Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you select “Allow analytics”. If enabled, it measures page views, engagement, approximate region, and browser or device details. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, and personalised advertising remain disabled. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and can be changed through “Analytics settings” in the footer. Withdrawing permission prevents new analytics events and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this domain.

Hosting and service providers

The site runs on Firebase App Hosting and Google Cloud. These services process ordinary technical request data needed to deliver and secure the website. Google Workspace carries contact enquiries, and Google Analytics processes usage data only when permission is granted. Some processing may occur outside South Africa under the providers' contractual and security safeguards.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw analytics permission at any time. Requests can be sent to stefan@gauteng.ai. You may also contact South Africa's Information Regulator.
